June 4, 2018

smiling man in dental chairWhen it comes to replacing one or more missing teeth, dental implants are easily the best option. They restore both the roots and crowns of missing teeth, so the dental restoration looks, feels, and functions much more like healthy, natural smiles. Before we begin an advanced dental implant tooth replacement plan, you’ll need to make a number of decisions, including choosing the best material for your implant post. There are several of options available, and no material is right for every patient. Your skilled dentist will help you find the best material to ensure successful dental implant placement and restoration. In this post, we’ll discuss some of your dental implant tooth replacement options and how a dentist can help you choose the right one. If you have questions about dental implants, you should take the time to talk to your dentist and dentistry team to ensure you feel completely comfortable before beginning treatment.

Special Announcement!

August 27, 2013

The TDW team is expanding!

I am overjoyed to share some exciting news with all of our friends, family and our patients! My husband, Brad, and I are expecting our first child, a baby girl, in early October.  We are eager and filled with anticipation for Baby Sydney’s impending arrival.

I know that I’ve seen some of you in the office over the past few months—I’m getting bigger every day! My hope is to stay in the office treating patients for as long as possible until I go on my maternity leave, and if all goes well, I will be working until the end of September.

It’s important to me that I provide continuous care for my patients. During the month of October and most of November, I will have two associate dentists working in the office performing general dental care, as well as routine examinations and emergencies. Dr. Kelly Rawlins and Dr. Brenda Fritz will be covering my practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays while I am on leave. I am enthusiastic and confident they will do a wonderful job! Dr. Rawlins is a fellow graduate from Vanderbilt and Medical College of Georgia, who I have known and respected for many years. I admire Dr. Fritz’s passion for patient care and commitment to the profession of dentistry, as we have served on the same executive committee for the Georgia Dental Association.

After my maternity leave, I plan to be in the office working almost the same schedule as I did before. As many of you know, I see patients 3 to 4 days per week. This will continue once I return to work in mid to late November.

My team and I strive to provide the best possible dental care for you and your family in a comfortable, relaxed environment. I have no doubt that Dr. Rawlins and Dr. Fritz will continue this care while I am on my leave.

This has been quite a year for me both personally and professionally, and I am excited to share this next phase of my life with all of you! I truly love being your dentist and I thank you all for allowing me into your lives to care for you and your families.  I would like to show you my appreciation through good food, fun drinks and live music!  Please mark your calendars!
